Brazil<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

CABI\u2019s centre in S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil operates across the whole of South America, providing high quality scientific knowledge, information and expertise.<\/p>\n\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

China<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

Situated in CABI\u2019s most populous member country, and one of the fastest growing economies in the world, CABI has had a presence in China since 1980. Our centre in Beijing works across the whole of East Asia, a region that faces huge challenges of food security and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Ghana<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

Our centre in Ghana serves West Africa \u2013 a region made up of 15 states, and with a population of about 300 million. This is a region where agriculture is of huge importance. However there are significant challenges to effective trade in agricultural commodities in this region.<\/p>\n\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

India<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

CABI first established a centre in India in 1948. Ever since, the centre has been implementing programmes and working with partners to help improve the lives of people and communities in the region.<\/p>\n\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Kenya<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

CABI has a regional centre for Africa in Nairobi. Agriculture is essential for sub-Saharan Africa\u2019s economic growth and yet average crop yields in Africa are among the lowest in the world. Over 80% rely on it but many face challenges in growing sufficient good quality produce.<\/p>\n\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Malaysia<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

CABI\u2019s regional centre in Malaysia works across the whole of South East Asia. This region is still largely agriculture-dependent, very biodiversity-rich and environmentally-fragile.<\/p>\n\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Pakistan<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

CABI\u2019s centre in Pakistan coordinates our activities in Central and Western Asia. Small-scale farming here is widespread, employing a large percentage of the population in many areas. Agriculture contributes heavily towards the region’s economy and its development.<\/p>\n\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Switzerland<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

CABI\u2019s centre in Switzerland carries out applied scientific research and undertakes consultancy projects. Located in Del\u00e9mont in the Canton of Jura, it is the home for experts and students from several different countries where they research and apply their knowledge.<\/p>\n\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Trinidad and Tobago<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

CABI’s office in Trinidad and Tobago works with local partners to improve people\u2019s livelihoods. The region is rich in natural resources but has significant social inequalities. Agriculture (particularly commodity crops) remains economically important for the area.<\/p>\n\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

United Kingdom<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

Scientists at our centre in Egham carry out scientific research, international development projects and microbial services. Over the years its work has supported hundreds of projects and reached thousands of farmers in countries across the world.\u00a0CABI also has a corporate office in Wallingford.<\/p>\n\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Zambia<\/figcaption>\n <\/figure>\n

CABI’s Zambia office serves the Southern African region. As agriculture is the main employer and source of income for the majority of the population here, this office executes our development projects and improves knowledge sharing to address agricultural and environmental challenges encountered by Southern African smallholder farmers.<\/p>\n\n <\/a>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n \t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\n<\/div>\n
