\n\t\t\tPlantwisePlus in Burundi\t<\/h2>\n\t

Burundi’s agricultural communities are among the poorest in the world, relying on farming for both food and income. They also face significant challenges, including low productivity, limited arable land, and environmental degradation. PlantwisePlus and its partners are working to transform agriculture in Burundi through sustainable and innovative practices.<\/p>\n

Our initiatives focus on integrating plant clinic networks into the national plant health system and promoting gender-inclusive services to ensure women farmers have equal access to plant health advisory services.<\/p>\n

PlantwisePlus is committed to identifying and scaling lower-risk pest management practices, including biological control methods, reducing reliance on harmful chemical pesticides. This approach supports farmers in improving crop health and protects the environment and community well-being.<\/p>\n

By strengthening local expertise and plant health services, PlantwisePlus is strengthening the resilience of Burundi’s agriculture sector against phytosanitary threats, safeguarding food security and enabling sustainable economic development.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"IMG_9777\"\n
