Certificate, Diploma and Masters of Advanced Studies in ICM<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Advanced Studies in Integrated Crop Management<\/a>, jointly coordinated by CABI and the University of Neuch\u00e2tel, aimed to help address today\u2019s critical agricultural and environmental challenges by offering a unique higher education programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course give international students the opportunity follow a Swiss University level education programme. Students learn about sound crop management principles and explored solutions that can be incorporated into practice and policy in their home countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Masters of Advanced Studies (MAS)<\/a> was offered from 2015. The face-to-face MAS ICM course finished in 2020 and has since been replaced with the online Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Integrated Crop Management (ICM)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Graduate student training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Around 100 PhD, MSc and Diploma students have carried out the practical aspects of their university coursework at CABI\u2019s Swiss centre. We\u2019ve welcomed students from Switzerland, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, UK, Turkey, Sri Lanka, China, New Zealand, Canada and USA. Some of the students are self-funded while others are funded via CABI projects or by their universities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student internships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Around 15 undergraduate and graduate students take internships at CABI\u2019s Swiss centre each year where they work mostly on biological control projects run by CABI in collaboration with national and international partners. We are currently offering BSc or MSc students in biology, ecology, agronomy and other related fields an opportunity to gain experience in biological weed and insect control. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training courses and teaching<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Scientists from CABI\u2019s Swiss centre currently run courses on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and experimental design and statistics for the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science (CAAS) in Beijing.
